Summary of case study
This green façade won an Innovation award in the 2021 Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) awards program for its breakthrough in technology and design. It spans levels 2 to 10, wraps around the podium, and provides natural ventilation for the car park. The installation involved a pre-grown system that acts as a trellis, fall protection, and vehicular barrier, achieving 50% plant coverage on-site. 203 planter boxes were grown in Fytogreen’s nursery facility in Somerville for 9 months, featuring a mix of 5 species and designed to face west and north.
